Beautiful Porcelain Veneers and Teeth Whitening for Naples, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs
Advances in cosmetic dentistry have made attaining a beautiful smile easier than ever. With our highly effective procedures such as teeth whitening and porcelain veneers, Naples , Fort Myers, and Bonita Springs residents can achieve dazzlingly white and beautifully proportioned teeth. In addition to these exceptional cosmetic procedures, Dr. Eck offers porcelain crowns for virtually undetectable tooth repair and tooth-colored bridges for perfectly matched tooth replacement.
Teeth Whitening
A beautifully white, radiant smile makes anyone look and feel more attractive and confident. Unfortunately for many people, however, the staining and yellowing of teeth that occurs over time with everyday living can tarnish the smile and even cause some people to refrain from smiling for fear of embarrassment. Now with the exceptional solutions we have for teeth whitening, our Fort Myers and Naples patients can effectively erase stains and unsightly yellowing and achieve an appealing white smile that brightens the entire face.
Deep Bleaching™
Dr. Eck offers both in-office and take-home teeth whitening solutions at his Bonita Springs practice. One of the newest, most effective methods for removing stains and making teeth beautifully white is our in-office teeth whitening treatment. Because Deep Bleaching™ does not affect teeth sensitivity, it is an excellent solution for patients who have sensitive teeth and have been unable to have other types of teeth whitening treatments. In this effective procedure, Dr. Eck applies a gel to the teeth to initiate the whitening action that transforms the smile to pearly whiteness up 10 shades lighter than the existing tooth color. Our patients who undergo Deep Bleaching™ at our Bonita Springs office are typically amazed at how quickly and effectively this exciting new cosmetic dental option gives them a beautiful smile. Even patients with severe staining from tetracycline or other agents can be helped with this especially beneficial treatment.
The LumaCool™ Teeth-Whitening System
Our in-office teeth whitening methods also include the quick and highly effective LumaCool™ system. Dr. Eck applies mild LumaWhite™ Bleaching Paste to the teeth. He then exposes the teeth to the special LumaCool™ LED light to accelerate the whitening action of the paste. The results are noticeably whiter, brighter teeth in about an hour. LumaCool™ treatments are especially popular with our male patients because the treatments don't require any at-home use of whitening products. Another highly effective in-office teeth whitening option available to our Fort Myers and Naples patients is Deep Bleaching™. To learn more about all of our in-office teeth whitening systems, contact our Bonita Springs office today. Depending on the method you choose, you can have an astonishingly whiter smile in just one to three hours.
Take-Home Teeth Whitening
When time isn't a concern, we have take-home teeth whitening options that achieve results similar to those of our in-office teeth whitening solutions but take a little more time. Over a period of 10 to 14 days, the patient wears custom-fitted trays that hold a special bleaching gel. Dr. Eck provides full instructions and monitors the patient's progress so that optimal results are achieved. Take-home teeth whitening treatments can be combined with LumaCool™ treatments for especially remarkable results.
Research has shown that our teeth whitening systems are extremely safe and effective. For more information or to schedule an appointment to create a beautifully white smile with one of our exceptional teeth whitening methods, contact our Bonita Springs office serving Fort Myers, Naples, and surrounding areas today.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers dramatically improve our Naples and Fort Myers patients' teeth by covering stains, chips, and discoloration with ultra-thin yet strong and durable porcelain shells. Additionally, in a procedure known as "instant orthodontics," porcelain veneers can be shaped to lengthen teeth, obscure gaps, and correct the appearance of misaligned teeth. The texture, translucence, and excellent light-reflecting properties of porcelain veneers endow the smile with a completely natural and exceptionally beautiful appearance.
To begin the process of creating a beautiful smile with porcelain veneers, our Naples, Bonita Springs, or Fort Myers patient schedules a consultation with Dr. Eck. Dr. Eck determines the patient's goals and thoroughly explains the procedure. In the subsequent appointment, Dr. Eck buffs the patient's teeth to remove only minimal tooth structure to accommodate the porcelain veneers. He then takes a mold of the teeth so that the veneers will provide a precise fit.
In the final appointment, Dr. Eck places the new porcelain veneers on the teeth to ensure their fit and appearance. Once he has determined that fit, shape, and color are perfect, Dr. Eck permanently bonds the porcelain veneers to the teeth. Naples and Fort Myers residents can schedule a personal consultation with Dr. Eck to learn more about the advantages of porcelain veneers and how they can significantly improve a smile.
Inlays and Onlays
When cavities have caused a posterior tooth to become too fragile for tooth-colored fillings, or when the tooth has sustained damage from another cause, inlays and onlays provide an effective, functional, and cosmetic solution without requiring the extensive removal of tooth structure necessary for a crown. To prepare the tooth, Dr. Eck removes all decay and damage. Then he takes a mold of the tooth so that an accurate porcelain (or gold, if you prefer) restoration that precisely matches the tooth can be created. If damage is moderate, Dr. Eck will use an inlay to cover and seal one or two surfaces of the tooth. If damage is more extensive, our Bonita Springs dentist will use an onlay to cover the cusp (chewing surface) of the tooth completely. Inlays and onlays are the perfect solution for many of our Naples and Fort Myers patients who have suffered tooth damage. They provide strong cosmetic repair, and they maintain more of the natural tooth structure than crowns.
Porcelain Crowns
When a tooth cracks, breaks, or has become too degraded due to cavities, porcelain crowns provide an effective, aesthetically pleasing solution. More encompassing than porcelain veneers, a porcelain crown completely covers the visible portion of the tooth and provides strength, stability, and protection from further damage and cavities. The natural texture and exceptional color-matching of the porcelain make porcelain crowns virtually indistinguishable from real teeth.
All-porcelain and reinforced-resin dental crowns are generally used for the front teeth because they reflect light more like natural teeth and can be more easily color matched to surrounding teeth. Combination crowns composed of metal overlaid with porcelain are the strongest of the porcelain crowns and provide natural-looking tooth replacement. However, because of the metal substructure, they do not reflect as well as all-porcelain and reinforced-resin crowns
When a tooth has to be completely removed or has been lost to injury or disease, an implant crown provides an excellent solution. The titanium root of the implant integrates with natural bone tissue and is topped with a porcelain crown for replacement that looks and feels like a natural tooth.
Tooth-Colored Bridges
When one or several teeth are missing, adjacent teeth begin to tip toward the empty space, altering the direction in which force is applied to them during chewing. This misdirected pressure hastens tooth movement and displacement. A tooth-colored bridge provides an excellent functional solution by restoring support to surrounding teeth and maintaining correct bite. A tooth-colored bridge also provides superb cosmetic solutions by replacing missing teeth with strong, natural-looking substitutes; by preventing the speech problems missing teeth can entail; and by averting the collapse of facial features that prematurely ages the face and results in wrinkles and facial lines.
If there are no surrounding teeth, or if the adjacent teeth do not have the integrity to support a dental bridge, Dr. Eck may recommend an implant dental bridge.
Our full range of cosmetic procedures such as teeth whitening and porcelain veneers provides our Naples, Fort Myers, and Bonita Springs patients with the path to extraordinarily beautiful results. Contact the office of Dr. Fred Eck to schedule a smile-enhancing appointment.
